Texas Frightmare Weekend is one of the largest conventions in the country, and for good reason. They work hard to bring in the big named celebrities that fans want to meet and this year, they have really delivered. During the weekend of May 1-3, you can meet the cast members of three major horror films as well as many large names that will make you salivate and stock your wallet with as much money as you can wrangle up.

It has been aIMG_0848.BMPlmost two decades since Scream was released into theaters and now, for the first time ever, Neve Campbell and Skeet Ulrich will make their convention debuts thanks to the amazing people over at Texas Frightmare. I have been a massive Scream fan and collector since the film came out, so this news has been huge for me. This May, I will finally achieve a twenty year-long dream in meeting Neve Campbell, the final girl who cannot be killed.

You will be paying $75 and $50 respectively for Neve and Skeet’s autographs but, is that really a lot when you consider how long some of us have waited for this moment? Not at all. In fact, I even popped for the pSkeethoto op with Neve and Skeet in full Ghostface garb. After all, I may never get this opportunity again. I highly suggest you do the same considering that the op is more than half way sold out already. I have seen the props they are using for the op including a 1996 Ghostface mask, a screen accurate robe and a voice changer. They are not playing any games with this op and are certainly giving us our money’s worth!

Along with the Scream cast, at Texas Frightmare Weekend, you can meet the cast members of Phantasm, including The Tall Man himself, Angus Scrimm, Michael “Boyyyyyyy” Baldwin, Reggie Bannister, Kat Lester, Bill Thornbury and Don Coscarelli.

The cast of my personal favorite sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge will be in attendance as well. The cast attending includes Mark Patton, Kim Myers, Robert Rusler, Marshall Bell and director Jack Sholder. Being the first horror film I ever saw, this reunion is a huge deal for me and hopefully for those who appreciate the film instead of bashing on it for its (fairly obvious) homosexual undertones.

If you, for some insane reason, are not interested in any of the reunions listed above, you can attend Texas Frightmare to meet any of the following guests:

Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, RZ Halloween 1 & 2, Heroes)

Brad Dourif (Childs Play, Lord of the Rings, RZ Halloween 1 & 2)

Elvira aka Cassandra Peterson

Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy, Silent Hill, Innocent Blood)

Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave)

Lisa and Louise Burns (The Shining)

Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks)

Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects)

Thomas Howell (The Outsiders, The Hitcher)

Udo Kier (Kingdom, Blade)

And more!

Do not hesitate to buy your tickets and book your hotel room now. Tickets will just get more expensive the closer we get to the show date and hotel rooms in the area are booking very fast. This is not a show you will want to miss as it is certain to be the convention talk of the year and probably the next. Guests are still being announced, so keep your eyes on their website over at http://www.texasfrightmareweekend.com/guests/  to keep yourself updated.
