As of today, rumors are circulating that Rian Johnson is in talks with LucasFilms to direct and write Star Wars: Ep. VIII and IX. Johnson’s credits include Looper, Brick, and Breaking Bad. With LucasFilms already having Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), and Josh Trank (Fantastic Four) in contracts to do other Star Wars spin-offs, are they trying to get a hold on the younger generation. We are definitely excited to see where these new developments will take the iconic saga.
